9 Simple Ways to Improve Your Memory

Posted by Living LYNESA on May 9, 2012

Job + Mother + Crazy Kids + Chores = I can’t remember anything!!!

By:   Mridu Khullar Relph

Can’t find your car keys? Forgot why you went to the grocery store? Is the name of that book you loved right on the tip of your tongue? Maybe you forgot your best friend’s birthday–again?

While these incidents are common and don’t matter much in the long run, other lapses of memory can have consequences — like leaving the stove on, forgetting to take medication, or leaving your wallet or cell phone on the roof of your car.

The good news is that there are steps you can take to improve your memory. Like other organs in the body, your brain can adapt and change, even into old age.

“Those with good memories have trained their brains to work for them,” says Marlene Caroselli, author of the books Memory Tips for the Forgetful and The Critical Thinking Tool Kit.

Here are a few tips to keep your brain sharp and your memory strong.  Click link to read more: 9 Simple Ways to Improve Your Memory.

Why Married Men Live Longer

Posted by Living LYNESA on May 8, 2012

By:   Gary Stern

The average married guy in the U.S. lives to be 75; the typical single guy lives only until 70.  That’s a five year difference, so despite all the jokes that stand-up comics make about married guys being stifled and henpecked, the data suggest that men thrive in committed relationships.  But why? And what can single guys do to extend their lives?

On the popular sitcom Two a Half Men, Charlie Sheen played the thinly disguised Charlie Harper, TV’s version of the idealized bachelor. Carefree and promiscuous, he drives a Mercedes and a Ferrari, smokes cigars, dates extensively, drinks excessively and generally lives life in the fast lane with little concern for his health (or anyone else’s).  He seems happy in a rather disorganized, unsettled way.  There’s only one problem with this image of bachelorhood: it’s not entirely true.

You + Little Red Umbrella = Successful Entrepreneur

Posted by Living LYNESA on February 2, 2010

I need you to take a moment and think about two (2) people that you believe have reached a true level of success.  However, before you can do this, you must know what I mean by success.  Ultimately, I believe if you don’t have that peace that passes all understanding one cannot truly reach the highest level of success – which is a peace of mind.  How many people have you heard of that are worth millions; however, they are miserable human beings?  See, money cannot buy you happiness. But, let’s move on.  This is a whole topic in itself.

Now, when I speak of success in this blog, I’m speaking of a two people that you know who have ultimately impacted their lives by creating a successful business.  These two people had a vision of entrepreneurship and were able to turn their vision into a reality.  So, do you have two people in mind?  They don’t have to be people that you know personally.  For example, a couple of people that I believe could fit into my definition of success are Donald Trump and Oprah Winfrey.  Both of these people had a vision of entrepreneurship and made it a reality.

Alright, now that you have your two names; here’s the question: “What do they both have in common?”  I can only imagine the answers I’m getting now – 1) They are goal setters, 2) They have the ability to stay focused, 3) They are driven individuals, 4) They are risk takers, 5) They are great networkers, and the list could go on and on.  Well, I’m here to tell you that the one thing I KNOW they both have in common is that they both have their own personal “Little Red Umbrella.”  Yes, I said umbrella.

To get a better understanding of what I mean, take time to view my video blog.  I guarantee if you are one of those people that have a DREAM of ENTREPRENEURSHIP, you will definitely be running to get your “Little Red Umbrella” too.

The Formula To Success

Posted by Living LYNESA on January 14, 2010

How many people do you know have truly achieved a high level of success in a Multi-Level Marketing (MLM)/Direct Sales Company?  And before you answer this, please only consider your family and friends in your direct circle.  This immediately makes answering this question more difficult.

See, most of the time when we first join a MLM business, our only testimony of success is about someone else in the company.  And usually that person is several legs removed from us.  And how do I know this personally?  Because I was that someone in my company for a long time.  In my former company, I would average $50,000 to $80,000 per month in commission; and I would hear others using my story to recruit individuals into their business.  Now, don’t get me wrong, my story was very compelling.  I definitely went from Rags to Riches.  However, many people knew my story, but did they really know how I went from the Wilderness to my Promise Land?

So, with that being said, how did my team and others make their friends buy into their own personal vision of success with this company when all they did was talk about the success of someone they or their friends didn’t even know?  They followed the formula to success:  Know How + Desire = Success.

I am proud to say, that by teaching this formula to my team and others, I helped over a dozen or more people achieve a six-figure income in a matter of months.  And guess what?  Today, I’m going to share that formula with you for FREE.  Let’s get started.

The first part of the formula is KNOW HOW.  The “Know How” is made up of a seven step process.  I don’t have enough time to elaborate on each, but I will give you the seven steps.

  1. Treat your opportunity like a BUSINESS.  Have an OWNER mind-set not an   EMPLOYEE mind-set.
  2. You must USE the product yourself.
  3. You CANNOT allow the FEAR of FAILURE and the FEAR of SUCCESS to rob you of your DREAMS.
  4. Understand that your product is “Changing People’s Lives.”  The product is NOT just about making MONEY.
  5. Do not REINVENT the wheel. Just follow the SYSTEM.
  6. Call your Sponsor/Direct Upline at least ONCE every other day.
  7. Make a COMMITMENT to stay in the business for at least 18 MONTHS.

The last part of the formula is DESIRE.  Now, when it comes to the “Know How,” I can teach this to you all day long; and if you just follow it exactly, it will work for you.  However, when it comes to “Desire,” that can’t be taught.  You must find that from within.  You MUST have a “Low I.Q.” level to master “Desire.” (Read my last blog titled Does Your I.Q. Equal Success?)  See, in my book, I talk about Desire meaning, Don’t Ever Stop Initiating Real Eagerness.  No matter what people are sayings about you or your opportunity, no matter how many times you have failed in other MLM companies, no matter how many times you have heard the words, “No” or “No, I don’t like to Sell,”  you must stay laser focused and keep your Desire burning within.  Don’t allow that flame to be extinguished by NOONE or NO THING.

Well, that’s it folks – Your formula to success.

Peace, Love, Happiness and Most Definitely Prosperity,

Does Your I.Q. Equal Success?

Posted by Living LYNESA on January 7, 2010

How many times have you’ve heard that one’s Intelligence Quotient (I.Q.) has a lot to do with their ability to be successful?  However, I believe the real question should be, “Is your success really based on your I.Q. level?”  Well, if you were to ask me, I would say absolutely yes!

Now, I can hear you saying, “Lynesa, come on.  I know of or have at least heard of individuals whose I.Q. level may not be at all that great but they are very successful people.”  And guess what?  I would agree with that statement.  The most successful people in this world I guarantee have a low I.Q. level.  Yes, I said “Low” I.Q. level.  Now, I know I really have you thinking I’m crazy; but, please just hear me out.

When you think of I.Q., you’re thinking of one’s intelligence level; however, when I thinking of one’s I.Q. level, it has nothing to do with their intelligence.  See, I.Q. means one’s “I Quit” level to me.

In 2010, you must have a low “I Quit” level to be successful.  You must not quit on your dreams or goals.  You must be willing to stay laser focused on whatever you want out of life and be determined not to quit.  See, the only people in life that fail are those people that quit too soon.

Times will get hard.  People will turn their back on you.  And at times, you may even feel alone on your journey to success; however, you can’t quit.  Your I.Q. level must be low to make it in 2010.

I’ll leave you with one last thought.  Even Jesus had to have a low I.Q. level.  He understood that there is always a wilderness period before you make it to the Promise Land; however, it make it to the Promise Land, you can’t quit during your wilderness period.

To MINE or MIND your Business? That is the question

Posted by Living LYNESA on December 31, 2009

Today’s blog is about MINING versus MINDING your business.  I hear so many people on a daily basis complaining about needing there business to grow.  They are at a point in their lives that an extra source of income is critical to their survival.  But how do they do it?   How do they turn their business into a true profitable entity?

Well, it all starts with one question.  Are you MINING or MINDING your business?  Let’s take a more detailed look at the two.

When one MINES his/her business, they are focusing on the following actions:

            1.   They spend time MINING their business by becoming laser focused.  They take the time to research their product/service, their competition, and new ways to uniquely market their business.

There’s a difference in being laser focused and just focused.  See if you just study a subject with no clear direction, you’ll find yourself wondering all over the place.  You will eventually complete the task but for some reason you will not experience the level of success you were hoping for.  However, when you become laser focused, you immediately start to burn a hole through your goal.  See, being laser focused is being without any distractions.  You zero in on what you want to accomplish and you don’t deviate from it until you reached your goal.  Bottom line, you burn a hole through your goal until you reach success.

            2.   They spend time MINING/working their business on a daily basis.  Everyday, you must find someway to contribute to your business.  For example, a farmer would never have any crops if all he did was to plant the seeds.  He must on a daily basis spend time watering and tending to his garden if he wants to reap a bountiful harvest.  So if you want your business to grow, you must work in it or work on it on a daily basis.

            3.   They spend time MINING deep into their organization to identify leaders.  A true business owner understands that they can’t do it all on their own.  They must be surrounded with a team of individuals that truly have the company’s best interest at heart.  Now, this team doesn’t have to be big.  It just needs to be comprised of individuals that believe not only in the vision of the company; but more importantly, believe in you as the owner.

Now let’s take a look at the word MINDING.  When one MINDS his/her business, they are focusing on the following actions:

            1.   They spend their time MINDING what others are saying or not saying about their business.  It would be great if everyone supported your vision, but reality and past experiences say there will be periods of time when you feel like you have no support at all.  There will be many people including family and friends that will not support you in your business.  Their only support is criticizing.  If you allow their thoughts and sentiments to be your motivator, you will find yourself in and out of depression on a daily basis.

Stop MINDING what others are thinking.  Go for your dreams and let nothing get in your way.

            2.   They spend their time MINDING their lack of return on their investment.  When you start a business, it takes time for the business to grow.  Well, during this growth period, your monetary rewards are very minimal if any at all.  This can truly be a downer to any business owner.  You want to see a return on your investment immediately.  You want what the industry calls “microwave success.”  Because this is not a reality, most business owners will either start making irrational changes to their company just hoping something works or they will just give up or quit.

Studies have shown that most businesses do not start recognizing a return until after their third year in business; and usually this return is just a break even return.  Most companies begin to experience monetary success between 36 – 48 months of being in business.

So the lesson here is to stop MINDING your lack and look only towards your future.  You will eventually be blessed monetarily.

            3.  They spend their time MINDING everything that is going wrong instead of MINING everything that is going right.  On a daily basis, look for your successes.  Don’t get caught up on what’s going wrong.  This will only waste your most valuable asset – which is your TIME.  Be positive on a daily basis and watch your business grow.

So, back to the question, “Are you MINING or MINDING your business?”

Are You Recession Proof for 2010?

Posted by Living LYNESA on December 24, 2009

Well, 2009 is almost over.  I know if you’re like everyone else, you can’t wait for 2010.  2010 equals a NEW START.  But let’s really ask ourselves, “What does the word new start really look like for us as individuals?”

I pondered this question extensively last night and through much prayer I finally know what it means to me and I would like to share my findings.  It has definitely changed how I will approach 2010 and maybe just maybe it will do the same for you.

To start off, I had to identify what my major concern was for 2009; and ironically, the only thing that kept coming to mind was the word RECESSION.  Now that truly became a household word in every home during 2009; and if you’re anything like me, you’ve had enough.  Something has got to change.  Well, prayerfully, after reading this blog you should not just guess or wonder if something will change for 2010.  You should KNOW that some WILL change because your destiny awaits you.  Let’s begin.

We are going to start by breaking down the word R.E.C.E.S.S.I.O.N.

R – stands for Rear view mirror.  In a few days, 2009 will be ending and will only be a memory.  However, some of us will keep it as our Present and our Future.  See, the devil never wants to see people move to a higher place in life.  If he can keep you focused on your past and feeling like it will always be a part of your future that keeps you stagnant.

For example, when you get in your car, do you always use the rearview mirror to drive the entire time?  Absolutely NOT!  First of all, you would never make it to your destination but even if you did eventually make it going backwards can you imagine the amount of wrecks you would get in?  The rearview mirror is used for backward progression not forward progression.

So, in life you can’t look in your personal rearview mirror either.  I know, a bunch of stuff has happened to you in 2009 and you just don’t know if you will be able mentally, physically, financially or even spiritually to make it in 2010.  But I’m here to tell you can.  See, what I know is that God has a plan for you and awaits for you in the year 2010.  This plan is so huge that in 2009 the devil has been focused on you just to take your mind out of the game.  If he can keep you looking in your rearview mirror, he holds up your destiny.  So get out of the rearview mirror and get ready to embark upon the true essence of your existence.  2010 will definitely be your promise land.

E – stands for Energy.  Bottom line, I know 2009 has worn you out and you are not really sure if you have anything positive left in your spirit physically to move forward.  Well, you do!  All hard work brings a profit.  So, believe me, every time you sacrificed your time or energy in 2009 to accomplish something, you will see the reward in 2010.  Don’t stop working now!  You are almost there.  Ask the marathon runner.  It’s not the first 22 miles that gets them; it’s the last 4 miles that just takes their mind out of the game mentally.  But during that down period, they must reach deep within and remember the goal and find the energy from somewhere to make it to the finish line.  Energy is the key.  It’s your momentum to your destiny.  So whatever you do, keep your energy level up!

S – stands for Smile.  You may have spent a many of nights crying, worrying and even stressing during 2009.  I know because I’m human and I did.  Well, all I can say is the only thing that I got from all of this was more wrinkles, grey hair, and a little bigger.  Stress is no joke!

Make it a point to smile more in 2010.  I went to an exhibit back in 2008 that demonstrated the effect that stress has on the human body.  It truly ages us and can physical damage our bodies.  However, the same exhibit showed how being happy can totally alter the physical make-up of the human body in a positive manner.

Being happy and smiling will not only keep you healthy and youthful and it will also rub off on the people you have surrounding you.  So smile more in 2010.  Your life depends on it.

S – stands for Save.  I’ve written a book and one of the chapters is titled “GrandMAH’s finance.”  Well, without getting knee deep into the chapter, I just want to stress the importance of saving your money and living off of a budget.  In 2009, many people started projects without counting the cost first and now they are definitely paying for their poor lack of planning.  I mean didn’t 2009 teach us something?  If you don’t take control of your money, your money will definitely take control of you!  So people, be wise.  Save and Budget your money.  It will make a difference in 2010.

I – stands for Identify your purpose/passion.  I run an organization that is designed to help individuals discover their “WHY”, their passion and purpose and turn it into a profitable business.  We were all born with a special gift and it’s up to us to know what that gift is and work in it.  Don’t worry about the money part.  Your gifts make room for you.  In essence, you do what you’ve been called to do, you will be PAID hefty.  So if you don’t know the calling on your life, take sometime to discover it and move towards it for 2010.

O – stands for On-time.  In 2009, the reason many people didn’t accomplish all that they wanted was because of their lack of discipline in being on-time – PROCRASTINATION.  We want success right now, but we don’t want to do what it takes to get there.  We are a generation of LAZY people.  All I have to say is just make it happen.  Stop waiting for life to change for you.  You must change your life and you must do it with a quickness.

N – stands for NO.  Yes, I said No.  In 2010, you must learn to say no more often.  See, the one thing that most people don’t realize is that the devil’s #1 goal is to steal your time.  If he can get you doing things that have nothing to do with your destiny or purpose, this delays your success.  And in delaying your success, he wins.

So, in 2010, I need you to evaluate every thing people ask you to do – and I mean everything.  Sometimes when the church or something around Christianity comes to us for help, we automatically say yes.  Not saying that what they are asking you to do is not right or needed; however, it may not be right for you to do it.  Your time is valuable and meant to be used to get you closer to the destiny you have on your life.  Now this may sound selfish at first, but believe me it’s not.  It’s called being a good steward of your most valuable asset – Your time!  The word No can take you a long way in 2010.

Hopefully, this has encouraged you to know you must have a new start in 2010 and knowing that I have shed the light on the word “Recession” it should have a whole new meaning to you.

I pray 2010 brings you everything you’ve always wanted and more.  For more information visit www.emothersathome.com (eMothers-at-Home) or www.bbeployment.com (Baby Boomers ePLOYMENT)
